Twenty-One Years
In the Field
The work of caring for children inside distinguished families rarely looks the same twice. Over two decades, I have navigated situations that demand not just warmth and skill, but composure, judgment, and genuine expertise. These are some of the moments that have defined my practice.
Every family is different. Every challenge is real. What follows is the work — extraordinary in its demands, meticulous in its execution.
Where It All Began
I was a college student babysitting part-time for a young family when their mother passed away unexpectedly following childbirth. What had been occasional, easy care became something far more, an unexpected calling that revealed itself in the hardest possible circumstances.
I stepped into full-time care for a newborn and a toddler, providing the consistency and warmth two very small children needed while their family found its footing in grief. When I eventually moved on, I knew I had found my life’s work in helping families thrive. Since then, I have nurtured that calling through experience and education, building, deliberately and carefully, the practice I have today.
Calm and Capable in Medical Emergencies
Over the course of a long career, injuries happen, and when they do, a family needs to know that the person with their child will respond with clarity, not panic. I have managed injuries requiring emergency room visits independently, making sound decisions quickly, communicating clearly with medical staff, and keeping frightened children calm throughout.
Parents traveling or simply unavailable in the moment have trusted me completely to handle the unexpected, and I have never given them reason to doubt that trust.
The Hub Between Specialists, Teachers, and Parents
Supporting a child with neurodivergence or developmental needs requires more than warmth. It requires coordination. I have served as the consistent, informed link between occupational therapists, developmental specialists, classroom teachers, and parents, translating professional recommendations into daily practice and ensuring that every adult in a child’s life is working from the same understanding.
I implement OT and specialist protocols at home with fidelity and care, track progress, and communicate meaningfully with families so that nothing falls through the cracks. For children managing anxiety alongside neurodivergence, this kind of continuity is not a luxury. It is the work itself.
School Admissions in Extraordinary Circumstances
Preparing a child for competitive school admissions is demanding under any conditions. Doing it during a global pandemic, when normal routines, socialization, and preparation resources vanished overnight, required creativity, adaptability, and an unusually deep understanding of child development.
I kept the children in my care on track for language development, social readiness, and academic preparation throughout the disruptions of Covid, ensuring that not a single developmental milestone was lost to circumstance.
Full-Charge Coverage While Parents Travel
I have provided complete, unsupervised coverage of household and children for extended periods while parents traveled, managing daily routines, meals, school schedules, extracurricular commitments, housekeeping staff, car maintenance, and home organization without disruption to the children’s lives or the household’s standards.
Families have trusted me to run their homes with the same care and discernment they would themselves, and I have honored that trust without exception.
Traveling Well and Guiding Families Through It
As a qualified travel agent specializing in Disney and family travel, I have guided many families through the particular magic and logistics of Disney World, including during my years living in Orlando, where I shepherded families through the parks with the ease of someone who knew them intimately. I have accompanied families on international travel, navigating children safely through major metropolitan areas by car and public transit.
I have been a gracious working guest in the homes of grandparents and extended family, and I know how to conduct myself with ease and discretion within exclusive, traditional country clubs, the kind of social fluency that matters deeply to the families I work with.
Relationships That Span Generations
The longest and most meaningful relationships in my career have extended well beyond the children themselves, developing over years into genuine partnerships with grandparents, extended family members, and the broader family network. I have worked closely and warmly with grandparents across long relationships, serving as a trusted and consistent presence that connects generations.
These long-tenure relationships are a hallmark of my work. They speak to a quality of presence and trustworthiness that goes beyond professional competence into something rarer: the kind of person a family genuinely welcomes into their world.
The Full Scope of My Practice
Every skill listed below is grounded in two things working together: two decades of lived experience and a master’s-level understanding of child and family development. I do not simply do what has always been done. I stay current with the evolving field of child development, seek out new learning, and bring an informed, reflective perspective to every aspect of my work.
